Movies and Games Related to My Product

Movie Environments Related to my FMP
Sin City
The film is primarily based on the first, third, and fourth books in Miller's original comic series. The Hard Goodbye: About a man who embarks on a brutal rampage in search of his one-time sweetheart's killer, killing anyone, even the police, that gets in his way of finding and killing her murderer; The Big Fat Kill: Focuses on a street war between a group of prostitutes and a group of mercenaries, the police, and the mob; and That Yellow Bastard: Follows an aging police officer who protects a young woman from a grotesquely disfigured serial killer. The intro of the film is based on the short story "The Customer is Always Right", which is collected in Booze, Broads & Bullets, the fifth book in the comic series.

Blade Runner
The climate of the city of Los Angeles, in A.D. 2019, is very different from today's. It is strongly implied that industrial pollution has adversely affected planet Earth's environment, i.e. global warming and global dimming. Real animals are rare in the Blade Runner world. In Philip K. Dick's 1968 novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, animal extinction and human depopulation of the planet were consequent to the radioactive fallout of a nuclear war; Owls were the first species to become extinct. This ties in with Deckard's comment about Dr. Tyrell's artificial owl: "It must be expensive." (cf. post-apocalyptic science fiction)
Given the many Asian peoples populating Los Angeles in A.D. 2019, and the cityspeak dialect policeman Gaff speaks to the Blade Runner, Rick Deckard, clearly indicates that much cultural mixing has happened. Globalization also is reflected in the name of the Shimago-Domínguez Corporation, whose slogan proclaims: "Helping America into the New World". This indicates that a mass migration is occurring, as there is a status quo that people want to escape.

Batman
Batman scribe Grant Morrison has brought about a more optimistic interpretation of Gotham City. "If Gotham was so bloody awful, no one normal would live there and there'd be no one to protect from criminals. If Gotham really was an open sewer of crime and corruption, every story set there would serve to demonstrate the complete and utter failure of Batman's mission, which isn't really the message we want to send, is it? You've got Batman and all his allies as well as Commissioner Gordon and the city still exudes a vile miasma of darkness and death? I can't buy that. It's simply not realistic and flies in the face of in-story logic so my artists and I have taken a different tack and we want to show the cool, vibrant side of Gotham, the energy and excitement that would draw people to live and visit there."

Games

Batman Arkam City

This game has the kind of enviroment i would like my animation to be set in, its dark, gloomy and a great atmosphere.
You can see how crime has taken control of the city and how corrupt it is, criminals getting away with murder. The city itself has many sights which is what would attract people but unlike above below is much darker and sinister, as it holds many criminals and much destruction within the city.
Guns, thugs, robberys, murder can all be seen. this is the main type of setting my animation would be but not so non-fictional.

Based of my views, and other peoples views.

 Sleeping Dogs

This game has the free roaming ability which game my animation would feature in, the enviroment isnt the best scene as it is bright and sunny. The Transport is very open and able to control different kinds of transports e.g boats, cars, bikes. The story is also able to come close to my animation, as it will be along the lines of crime, gangs, mafia familys etc.
In all Sleeping Dogs is my main inspiration (excluding GTA) for my final product.

Based of my views, and other peoples views.

Saints Row: The Third

Saints Row The Third is included because it is pretty much the oppisite of the GTA games, only difference is Saints row is less realistic and less serious which would only be the Down side for this.
Overall its round the same as Sleeping dogs gameplay, although there is a huge difference in the atmospheere between them both which is why there different.
Maybe this type of game, stroy mixed with the envroment of Batman and Sleeping dogs maybe what i'm looking to produce for my product.

Based of my views, and other peoples views.
